WHAT IS IIT - FOUNDATION ALL ABOUT?

Every parent dreams of the future of their children. The children themselves learn to see themselves through the lens of their parents’ adoring eyes. The dreams are big and every parent strives to realise them in their child’s life. They enrol them in a good school and wait patiently for real success stories to unfold.
Primary Education’s main goals in most schools are to mould the child into a responsible citizen with knowledge of exemplary public civic behaviour rooted firmly in our traditions and culture. High school is where the foundation for employability is to be laid. The children yearn to gain knowledge and when knowledge is not packaged as expected by them, they lose interest in studies totally. Even when they realise its importance later, they struggle to attain the joy of studying.
Every high school teacher is privy to the laments of parents who say that their child was excellent in academics till they entered high school. This is the age when a child should be given options to explore their own specific learning style and study pattern. Although each one is unique, study patterns can be acquired based on the training they receive.
A student can be guided to study in a structured manner using an online app that supports classroom teaching. The audio-video presentation and online tests with instant scorecard carrying detailed analytics capture the imagination of the student and give their interest a boost in the right direction. Parents should be able to monitor their child’s progress periodically – this would encourage the child to stay on the right track. Gradually, the students would assume the responsibility of their progress and parents wouldn’t have to dread nagging their children to study. Family time can be truly fun and guilt-free.
Self-assessment is proven to be a powerful tool in self-growth. The earlier the students are tuned in to this mode of assessment, the greater will be the benefit that they will reap in the future in terms of self-awareness and hence in choosing the right direction in their careers right from the start.
